Raise the Roof: Help Build Our New Welcome Center
Every year, Cedar Lakes Woods & Gardens welcomes over 50,000 visitors to explore the magic of our 100-year-old limestone quarry. Each of those visitors leaves with a story of their own to tell. Now, we need your help to "raise the roof" so we can better share the incredible history and ecology of this unique botanical garden.
We are raising funds to build a brand-new Welcome Center on-site. This dedicated indoor facility will completely transform the guest experience and allow us to greatly expand our conservation mission.
Inside the New Welcome Center
With your support, this new facility will feature three main areas designed to enhance our overall experience:
Nature and History Museum
A dedicated space to bring our local ecosystem to life. The museum will showcase the history of the retired lime rock quarry, explain the living Florida Aquifer, and highlight the diverse bird, fish, and plant species that thrive in our microclimate.
Education & Event Space
A comfortable, covered outdoor area allowing us to host workshops, school field trips, guest speakers, and other community gatherings year-round, regardless of the weather.
Expanded Gift Shop
A welcoming storefront where visitors can purchase unique garden merchandise, activity books, and souvenirs, with proceeds directly supporting our ongoing 501(c)(3) non-profit efforts.

Why We Need Your Support
Our 20-acre sanctuary is a living, breathing classroom, but we need a proper facility to fully showcase its ecological importance. To bring this vision to life, we rely on the generosity of our visitors, members, and local conservation advocates.
Together, we can build a space that preserves the history and ecology of Cedar Lakes Woods & Gardens for generations to come. Let’s tell the story of this incredible environment together.
Your donation goes directly toward the construction of our new Welcome Center.
